Hey, it's Emily (she/her)
As a photographer and therapist based in Rhode Island, my two roles share something important- seeing people as they authentically are & helping them to see themselves in that same light.
Running my own private practice in the mental health field has totally transformed my photography.
I don’t just see poses; I see human connection, the raw emotions during intimate moments. This is why I prioritize feeling over perfection. I can create a space where you feel safe, comfortable, and entirely yourselves.
about me
I'm an absolute extrovert (if you couldn't already tell) and an adventurer at my core. When I'm not behind my camera or in the office, you can find me traveling the globe, hiking with my dog Cooper, playing ukulele, singing in my choir, or riding my scooter around the city.
I love being around people, especially kiddos, and have a blast working with them; in recent years, I had the honor of acting as the foster momma to a sweet toddler, have provided respite care to some littles, and have of course long been "auntie" to many. Child welfare & human rights are extremely important to me and come up a lot in both my personal life and my profession.
I bring my goofy high-energy vibes with me everywhere I go. I'm the photographer who will lay in a pile of snow for the best angle, frolic through fields by your side, climb a boulder, and- more likely than not, end up tripping over my own feet at least once or twice along the way. Clumsiness comes with the fun.
eew photography
My love of photography started in 2011 when I studied abroad in Florence, Italy A.K.A. the city of renaissance art. A whole ten years later, in February of 2021, I bought my first “real” camera and I’ve fallen completely head over heels in love with the photographer life ever since.
