When you hire me as your wedding photographer, I become a part of your team. That means I’m here for it all. Late night texts? Extra meetings to plan your big day? Let’s do it. Coffee/wine/picnic/Facetime/whatever-you-like dates to talk timeline details? Yes! Once I’m on your team, I’m 100% in.

Let’s not forget the engagement photos! These are so incredibly important (and included in most of my wedding packages for this reason). These photos aren’t just about your save-the-dates, but about us getting to know each other. By your wedding day, I want us to feel like old friends just shootin’ the breeze! Engagement photos make for the perfect practice run.

Nobody wants to feel like there’s a stranger following them around with a big camera on the most beautiful and intimate day of their life, right? By the big day, I’ll already be familiar, making you and your partner laugh and have the best time during photos. I want to be the person on the sidelines who gives you confidence, reminds you how incredible you are, and supports every single decision you make. Let's make those wedding dreams come true!

Elopements totally give me life.

For real, I’m so beyond pumped for those intimate, serene, gorgeous little ceremonies. Whether you want to scale a mountain, travel to Greece, or get married outside of your favorite local coffee shop- I. Am. So. Down.

When it comes to elopements, I can be an even bigger part of your day if you want me to be. I’m happy to help you with planning a timeline, finding a location, finalizing travel plans, etc. Elopements are so awesome and flexible, which means we can do whatever your heart desires. I’m ready for every single second of it.

Please never hesitate to reach out with your elopement and travel wedding ideas because I’m just so excited to get to know you, join in the festivities, jump on that plane, climb that mountain, and be there to capture your big day no matter how and where you want it to happen! Couples

and proposals too!

Man, oh man. I absolutely LOVE working with couples. It seriously makes me so happy. If you’re looking to hire me for a couples session, engagement session, proposal, etc. you can expect to embrace the awkward. I swear its a “good awkward” though. I do everything in my power to make you and your partner laugh, goof around, embrace each other’s company, and just be your most authentic selves in the moment.

You may find yourself asking “why on earth would she ask us to do this silly thing for a photo?” but I promise you’ll totally understand it when your gallery is delivered. Plus, that’s way more fun than being posed like your old middle school yearbook photos, don’t you think so?

I want you to feel comfortable and happy throughout our time together, so if my prompts ever feel unnatural to you- I encourage you to just do something else. Tell me to back off. What ever works! I don’t want a posed uncomfortable version of you and your partner in these photos, I want to capture the most genuine and authentic images of you as a couple!

Families

embrace the chaos!

Seriously, embrace every second of it. As your photographer, I’m fully prepared for the craziness, the running around, the dirty clothes, and the giggles! You may think a perfectly clean and posed photo is ideal (which I’ll still totally get for you), but I believe in capturing your family exactly how they are in that moment. One day, you’ll look back on these giggling images of your family playing, exploring, & embracing chaos and be so grateful to have those moments frozen in time (even if they involve some dirty dress shoes).

When you’re preparing your kiddos to work with me, I always recommend treating your photoshoot like a play date. Tell them they’re going to meet their new friend Emily and that we’re going to have a lot of fun together. The more excited they feel (and the less pressure), the happier they'll be. I guarantee that’s always the source of the biggest & most authentic smiles.

I’m all about the candid shots. Be prepared for lots of playing, exploring, and existing in each other’s presence while my camera is out. The more you interact with one another, the happier me and my camera will be (and the better the photos)!
